So you are about to make a online purchase from Office Depot and you want to get the best deal possible. Wouldn’t it be great if you could find a coupon that would allow you to save even more money? Of course it would! Let me show you how.
If you are going to use the internet to make your purchase, you should also use the internet to save some money. First things first, you need to open up your favorite browser and fire up your favorite search engine (mine’s Google). Next, let’s search for “Office Depot Coupon Code.” Now you will find a number of sites that come up on Page 1 of your search.
However, before you start clicking through, let’s make sure we target coupon codes that will be currently valid. So, let’s update our search term to “Office Depot Coupon Code 2013.” Adding the current year will improve our chances of getting currently valid ones on Page 1 of our search.
Now that we have a list of Page 1 results, let’s find one that will work for us. Typical coupon providers that appear on Page 1 searches for promo coupons include RetailMeNot.com, Coupons.com, TechBargains.com, and DealLocker.com. You will probably see other sites appear as well, but the four sites mentioned here are usually up on Page 1 for most of these types of searches.
I will usually click on the first listing on Page 1 of my coupon code search because usually it will have the best chance of having a currently valid one for my purchase. As of the writing of this article, the first listing for this search term on Google is for RetailMeNot.com and that is what I will click on. Clicking through takes me to the RetailMeNot.com website which presents me with a $10 off $50 plus Free Shipping coupon code. Along with the coupon code is usually a list of requirements and restrictions for using it, so make sure to read them to verify if the one you are looking at will be valid for your particular purchase.
Now that we are here on RetailMeNot.com, how do we get our coupon code? Well, on this site they will have a blue box under the heading of the coupon code which says “Show coupon code.” If you click this box, two things will happen. First, you will get a pop-up that will present you with the promo code. Either highlight and “copy” the promo code manually or click the “Copy” box next to the code to copy it to the clipboard. The second thing that happens is that the Office Depot website will open and you will be able to shop and then use your promo coupon when you decide to “Check-Out.”
Other coupon websites will work in the same way. With this same search I see a listing for TechBargains.com which is another reputable coupon website. Clicking through takes me to a list of Office Depot promo coupons, one of which is the same $10 off $50 coupon code. Here, however, they have a green box to the right marked “Reveal Code” which I have to click to get it. Clicking the box opens up a window with the Office Depot website and also reveals the code in the space that the green box used to be. Here you need to highlight it, “copy” it, and then make sure to apply it while you are checking out on the Office Depot website.
Regardless of where you eventually get a coupon code, a couple of things always apply. Always make sure that you apply it when you check out, and always verify that it was accepted. Office Depot will always show you in the itemized display of your purchase where the discount was taken, so make sure to verify that the discount is there. Also, most of these savings websites will never just display the code in plain sight. They will almost always make you click through to receive the code, so be prepared to do that.
There are so many ways to save money on the internet, and if you are a frequent shopper on OfficeDepot.com, make sure to take advantage of the savings they offer. Google (or Bing or Yahoo) is your best friend when it comes to coupon codes. Let these search engines help you find and use these to save money each and every day. Good Luck!
